SOME PROPERTIES OF COMAXIMAL IDEALS

Summary/Abstract: Two ideals 𝐼 and 𝐽 of a commutative ring are comaximal if 𝐼 + 𝐽 = 𝑅. The fact that ideals are comaximal is equivalent to the fact that corresponding integers are relatively prime. If this condition is met, than it is possible to derive several important statements. The most famous among them is Chinese remainder theorem. Besides, on the basis of the derived statements it is possible to further achive some known facts from the number theory.
