Summary/Abstract: Danko Grlić was born in 1923 in Gračanica, BiH, so 100 years ago. He made a significant contribution to philosophy, especially aesthetics. In his philosophizing, he emphasizes the works of Friedrich Nietzsche and Karl Marx, connecting Nietzsche's notion of eternal return with Marx's demand for the practical work of philosophers. He was excommunicated from the Catholic Church, imprisoned on Goli otok and expelled from academic life because of his rebellious nature.
