Summary/Abstract: Rita Glózer’s book entitled Participation, media, culture. Video Blogs in Participatory Culture describes the period and phenomena in which the use of social media and the production and consumption of amateur content have spread and have become a part of everyday life for Hungarian users. The themes and phenomena explored in the book are illuminated by the author through the concept of participatory culture developed by cultural and fan researcher Henri Jenkins in the early 2000s.
