Use of Techniques and Analyses in Management Audit

Summary/Abstract: This paper is focused on management audit, namely assessment of methods, techniques and analyses which are used in processing and evaluation of management audit. This paper aims to identify and evaluate which specific audit techniques and methods are useful in acquiring information and what analyses can be used for processing and evaluation of management audit. An additional objective of the paper is to propose a modification and application of the model elaborated by McKinsey known as the "7S model" with "IFE Matrix" as the most frequently used tools to assess the current state of business management by executives, which is the main objective of management audit. Elaborating the empirical part of this paper, there were used personal and written structured interviews with experts in the field of auditing, with a specific focus on issues of management audit. There was also used information from managers in companies, performing the management audit process themselves. The aim of the survey was to obtain comprehensive information on the possibility of using management audit as a management tool for small and medium-sized enterprises in the Czech Republic.
