Summary/Abstract: Employee development and training, being one of the most important tools for improving organizational performance, brings along often considerable financial costs. Its effectiveness as well as possibilities of its increase should, therefore, be given permanent attention. The effectiveness of corporate training can, under certain circumstances, be expressed financially, using the ROI indicator, applied also in other areas of corporate management. Even if its direct verification is not possible, specific steps and tools can be taken to increase it.
