Summary/Abstract: The progressive planning of the execution of the criminal sentence of deprivation of liberty is one of the basic activities of the process of re-socialization of convicts, as it serves as a foundation for the entire correctional process. Thus, in the present article, a study of the current local mechanism of punishment planning was carried out, from the perspective of its correspondence with the progressive system of execution of the punishment. An analysis was also made of the stages in which the Republic of Moldova implemented the new system for planning criminal sentences. Finally, recommendations were made in the context of the shortcomings identified in the research.
