Summary/Abstract: In this article the author analyzes a problem of economics of disasters in terms of logical inclusion of this important category in the overall economic system. Economics of disasters is a highly specialized, specific economic discipline, which by means of the theory of disasters, methods of mathematical modeling, statistical and prognostic methods analyzes economic implications, suggests their potential development and now has its firm place in the economic theory.
