Summary/Abstract: The stories collected by Leca Morariu from Bucovina at the end of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century and included in the volume De la noi, which unfortunately attracted little attention from specialists for more than a century after their publication (1915), stand out for their unmistakable peculiarities of narrative art. The present work reveals the qualities of the “artistic fabric” and the mythical-symbolic valences of the 14 folkloric texts, which make up an unpublished volume, “released into the world” without “noise and uproar” (Nicolae Iorga).
