Summary/Abstract: This article explores the social representation of informational stress among adolescents in the context of the exponential growth of available information in the online environment. The research sample consists of 100 teenagers. By analyzing the results obtained through associative methods and the prototypic-categorical technique, it is observed that adolescents exhibit signifi cant variation in the frequency and importance of terms associated with informational stress. Terms such as‚ News’ and ‚Knowledge’ appear to be central in their representation, suggesting a less negative perspective on informational stress. Conversely, terms like ‚Competition’ and ‚Job’ have lower frequencies, indicating an underestimation of the impact of these factors on stress levels. Overall, these observations support the initial hypothesis, highlighting the diversity of adolescents’ perceptions regarding the impact of informational stress and emphasizing the need for a balanced approach in managing online information.
