Summary/Abstract: This article seeks to provide a deep, thorough and objectively-based analysis of the situation of the Romanian agriculture industry. Its main goal is to diagnose the phenomenon of transition in the industry and to put forward several proposals which can contribute to its relaunch in view of the need for competitive development in the future.
