Green public procurement in Slovak Republic

Summary/Abstract: Protecting the environment and ensuring the sustainability of energy use is one of the key policies of the European Union. Then these policies are implemented in practice through a wide range of instruments and measures. Green public procurement is one of the key instruments for achieving the European Union's objectives of ensuring smart, sustainable and inclusive growth. This type of procurement takes into account the environmental aspects in the tender documents. In the Slovak Republic, the issue of green public procurement is supported at the national level by public procurement legislation, by strategic documents approved by the Government of the Slovak Republic as well as by the programme declaration of the Government of the Slovak Republic.
