Summary/Abstract: The paper is focused on tourism destination competitiveness. It pays an attention to the models of destination competitiveness and their elements – the factors of competitiveness. It reflects fifteen years long history of the most-cited models. The paper suggests the implementation of a new factor of stakeholders into the integrated model of competitiveness. The stakeholders’ role in this model is a matter of a research focused on key stakeholders in three tourist destinations in the Jindřichův Hradec Region. The research aim is to find out whether stakeholders’ involvement in the concept of destination competitiveness has a potential to positively influence the interconnected factors of competitiveness. The AHP method enables stakeholders to make a peer comparison of their impact on the factors of competitiveness. The paper offers a suggestion for local DMOs or local governments how to define their tourism policy to be able to utilize cooperation with stakeholders as a source of competitiveness being able to generate the positive effects on the interconnected factors of competitiveness.
