Procedure for the Senate’s consent to the Sejm’s appointment of the Commissioner for Citizens’ Rights

Summary/Abstract: The purpose of this article is to outline the importance of both chambers of parliament in the procedure for selecting a candidate for the position of Commissioner for Citizens’ Rights in a timely manner, thus preventing the occurrence of a vacancy in that position. The author presents the procedure for the appointment of the Commissioner, analysing the concept of ‘consent’ and its meaning in the context of selected sources of Polish law and its internal acts and doctrine.
