Summary/Abstract: Throughout the years 1938/1939, Ștefania Cristescu (starting with 1939 Ștefania Golopenţia) researched a number of 35 villages in the region of Ţara Oltului. For some of these, she transcribed, according to the field notes, records dedicated to a single idea, with a view to writing a material that had already taken shape in the mind of the researcher. The present material reproduces the records transcribed from the villages of Galaţi, Hurez and Iaşi, which include, among other things, beliefs related to family customs – birth, wedding and burial.
