Summary/Abstract: The aim of this article is to examine US government documents on the war in Bosnia declassified in 2013. The files provide a rich source for research on Bosnia in the early 1990s and how the US perceived and responded to the war. While there are different types of declassified documents, the article will focus on how assessments and predictions on Bosnia measured up to what actually took place.
