Summary/Abstract: At the beginning of the Postwiese, a climbing house was built in 1880 for training purposes for the volunteer fire department, but it was demolished again in 1927 because the new building for the Kronstadt Chamber of Commerce and Industry was built at the same location in 1928. A carved wooden statue symbolizing a soldier of the Hungarian Landwehr (Honvéd) was erected next to it in September 1918. After the Romanian army entered Kronstadt in December 1918, the Romanian War Graves Commission had the Honvéd head replaced with the head of a Romanian soldier (Dorobanț). The monument was removed by the Romanian state in the mid-1920s. The following documentation is limited to the twelve houses on the lower Postwiese (as of 1944: house numbers 2 to 24).
