Summary/Abstract: "This paper attempts to do three things, in order to open up a broader discussion of our theme. It seeks first to address the topic proposed generally for our discussion. It then proposes a contemporary illustration of the topic in order to show the implications of the theoretical question we are treating. Finally, it makes some theoretical proposals, drawn from my own recent work. The latter aspect of the paper is, I fear, too brief. I can only hope that my manner of confronting the first two issues at least arouses your curiosity concerning the conclusions. "
