Summary/Abstract: The aim of this article was to present a broad spectre of cannibalism that was present within the prehistoric groups and tribes. While doing so, it was kept in mind to point out the distinctions between cannibalism of the neanderthals and the members of Illyrian tribes, as well as the ways these were seen by the witnesses. With the help of anthropological analysis various scenarios were created, that might have resulted in found contexts of different archaeological locations.
