Summary/Abstract: In this article we set out to examine the participation in criminal proceedings of the successors of a victim who died as a result of a crime. In this context, we considered it necessary to present the successors of the deceased victim through the prism of their participation as a civil party in the criminal proceedings and, at the same time, to set out a series of rights that they can exercise, thus playing an active role in this procedural phase of the criminal process.
