Summary/Abstract: Tradition is the possibility of generational transmission of cultural and religious goods. In Christianity, it is based on the Person of Jesus Christ and His saving mission. The Church, as the tradent of God’s revelation in history, has the task of proclaiming the authentic Gospel and making the mystery of salvation present. The realization of the universal Church in daily existence is the domestic Church. Showing the family as the basic ecclesial community is an expression of the post-Vatican II renewal. The problem posed here is contained in the question: how does the family, as the domestic Church, share in the transmission of God’s revelation? The article states that Tradition is an element of this revelation, and its subject, in addition to the Church’s Teaching Office, is the entire People of God. Therefore, the family, in terms of the tasks of the domestic Church, should also participate in this process. This was shown in two aspects: education in the faith and participation in liturgical life.
