Summary/Abstract: This article is a continuation of the author’s studies on the emergence and spread of the bibliographic tradition among the Slavs. It analyzes the idea of creating and disseminating a common cultural language of the Slavs, which existed for a long time, starting with the Moravian mission of Cyril and Methodius. The author develops the thesis that the language created by the brothers from Thessalonica for the purposes of worship has, from the very beginning, become a factor that strongly unifies nationalities – a kind of philosophy of Slavic unity. The history of the spread of the tradition of Cyril and Methodius among the Western, Southern and Eastern Slavs is presented by the author in the context of the idea of a common cultural language.
