Summary/Abstract: One of the fundamental rights is the right to a healthy and ecologically balanced environment which enjoys a special attention both at the regional and international level, as well as internal plan having a constitutional consecration, many of the state constitutions being revised in this regard. The constitutional recognition of the right to a healthy environment is very important in the economy, in the legislative framework regarding the environment, a series of normative acts being adopted both at international and internal plan which ensures protection of the right to a healthy and ecologically balanced environment in order to preserve the environment by protecting an important component of it, namely the forest. Through the adopted normative acts the aim is to limit the negative effects of chaotic deforestation and illegal logging.
