Summary/Abstract: The article includes an analysis of Peercover's functioning insurance groups, as well as a dis- cussion of the impact of social insurance on the traditional insurance market, and projections on the possible development of the "old" idea of mutual insurance, but reinvented and shaped through the prism of modern modes of communication on the Internet.
