Summary/Abstract: There are many important wars that changed history. But only some defensive wars have given a completely different shape to the course of history. The Battle of Waterloo, which definitively ended Napoleon's rule and shaped the political map of Europe for a long time, is one of these wars. The Battle of Sakarya, which ensured the success of the Turkish National Struggle and preserved Turkey's independence, is also such a war. This war also reinforced the leadership of Mustafa Kemal Pasha. Therefore, it had a significant impact on the implementation of the later revolutions and the shaping of Turkey's future. This article examines the main lines of two wars. The results of the wars and their effects on history were evaluated.
