Summary/Abstract: The development of the Internet and new information and communication technologies has also led to a colossal development of creative activity. This activity must be protected because it is the essential element of the development of a society, of an economy, and the evolution of society is so rapid that we must learn to keep up with it. That is why the technology revolution must be accompanied by the law revolution. Counterfeiting in the field of inventions and trademarks involves any infringement of intellectual property rights, but relates in particular to counterfeit or pirated goods. The man's ability to be inventive and creative has led to economic development and social progress, but also to creating a real danger to his health and life when we talk about counterfeit products. Counterfeit and pirated goods cause millions of dollars in losses to trademark and patent holders, and the volume of international trade in counterfeit and pirated goods is estimated to be over 500 billion USD. The paper analyzes the crime of counterfeiting, both in the field of patent protection and trademark protection.
