Summary/Abstract: This study notices several aspects of Petr Borkovec´s work dedicated to children and youth in the context of the author´s work for adults. First, it focuses on the motifs of the everyday things in his poetry. Their connection with human life appears to be essential. Secondly, this study draws attention to the spiritual level of Borkovec´s description of nature and the things and perceives it as close to the spirituality of Francis of Assisi. Thirdly, it emphasizes the magical dimension of Borkovec´s poetry. And in the end, the study takes a closer look at the book Modrá agáve.
