Summary/Abstract: In the article, various approaches are summarized to build an integral chronological scheme of the evolution of Ukraine’s party system. Special attention is paid to the forms of political participation and the phenomenon of party leadership. In the result of research, nine stages of Ukraine’s party system development are distinguished (six post-Soviet and three modern), and the specific features of the stages of the post-Soviet period are highlighted.
