Summary/Abstract: In the last two or three decades, analyses have shown that we need to approach the issue of women’s literature in a structural sense if we want to understand more precisely the movements of canonisation and literary memory. The existence and materiality of women’s literary tradition could mean that the experiences, writing practices and genre creations of women authors enter into dialogue with each other, networking within the literary tradition. The paper explores the possibilities of this tradition construction in Transylvanian Hungarian literature, postulating four types of patterns of forgetting in the perspective of making the blind spots of the literary tradition structurally disappear. At least two of these patterns involve theatre artists. The reception of the playwrights offers case studies for examining the issue, which can be used to characterize the role of women authors in the Transylvanian Hungarian literary tradition in a nuanced way.
