Summary/Abstract: The Academy Dictionary (DLR s.v.) defines the term group as several beings, similar things, gathered together. At the sociolinguistic level, the group is defined as a real collective unit that is based on collective attitudes, collective work, unity of attitudes, as well as a common linguistic activity. In the case of Romanian migrants from Oașului County, settled in the suburbs of Paris, I found, following the two research and documentation internships, that there is, in total (with the exception of mixed families, in which one of the spouses is French) the consciousness of belonging to the group with the typical norms and values preserved from the country of origin – Romania. Those questioned about "Which culture do you feel closer to?" answered without hesitation "to the one from Romania".
