The Political Identity of European Union

Summary/Abstract: The author investigates whether the established political identity of the European Union is at present time a common denominator of the European identity. The research is based on the hypothesis that the European Union identity is being established as a political identity, which is grounded on the single European citizenship. Due to this, it provides necessary legitimacy to the European Union policy. The aim of this paper is to briefly review and critically analyse the discussion on building of the EU identity
