Summary/Abstract: The article traces the biography of Petar Fitovski from Kotel, who was a participant in Hristo Botev’s cheta (armed group). It corrects the erroneous opinion that he was identical with Petar Fitov from Bolgrad – a Bessarabian Bulgarian and participant in the revolutionary movement. The paper presents documents concerning the life of P. Fitovski after the Liberation in 1878, including about his combatant pension.
