Summary/Abstract: On the basis of a recently established personal archival fund in the State Archives in Burgas, biographical information is given about the chief commander of the Internal Macedonian-Adrianople Revolutionary Organization (IMARO) Atanas Nivichki /The Beard/. The information was probably compiled in the 1970s by the Beard’s son Dimităr Nivichanov. They reveal the role of his father in the development of the revolutionary movement in the Strumica area.
