Summary/Abstract: Education is one of the most fundamental and inalienable rights of children. In order for children to benefit from these rights at the highest level, it can be possible by creating quality education opportunities that can meet the needs of the period and facilitating access to school. Absence from school will lead to a period that limits the right to education and may even cause the child to drop out of school. It is the common responsibility of all individuals and groups that are partners of education to ensure that children of school age continue to school. In order to eliminate the school attendance problem, it is possible to increase the awareness of all those responsible for absenteeism and dropping out of school, and through joint efforts of these partners to eliminate the reasons for absenteeism. Children's being in the safe environment of the school, in addition to their achievements at school, all kinds of threats, dangers, etc. that may come from people outside the school. It also provides protection against situations. On the other hand, being away from school negatively affects all aspects of children's development, while at the same time making it difficult for them to meet with appropriate prevention and intervention programs in a timely manner. Preventive interventions need to be developed in order to prevent school-age children from leaving school without a diploma before completing their education. Therefore, detailed studies and cooperation are needed in order to eliminate the situations that keep children away from school. In this study, it was tried to reveal the reasons for student absenteeism and what can be done to reduce or minimize these reasons.
