AN ANALYSIS ON MEDIA LITERACY EDUCATION IN PRIMARY EDUCATION

Summary/Abstract: Today, rapidly changing technology directly affects every aspect of human life. However, the fact that technological developments are rapidly changing daily life practices also raises the problem of creating awareness about the use of these technologies. In particular, developments in mass media directly affect human life and take place in many areas, from education to leisure activities. For this reason, the discussions about media literacy have begun to change the boundaries of the education system. Nowadays, concepts and situations such as children's intensive use of mass media, tablet addiction and game addiction are frequently discussed. This study attempted to draw a framework for the necessity of awareness of media literacy and its creation at the primary education level.
