Summary/Abstract: The study includes presentation of messages and symbols, encoded in Bulgarian embroidery and related to the worship of the Sun. In the ornaments of the embroidery art, the structure, composition and colouring are synthesized in such a way that they express the nature of the Bulgarian national thinking, imagination and aspiration for beauty. Keeping this heritage is important for the decorative applied art and its development, as well as for saving the roots of Bulgarian spiritual culture.
