Summary/Abstract: This article explores media influence over some changing holidays and festivals in modern Bulgaria. It traces the processes of changing, supplementing, and creating forms and elements in the Bulgarian holiday calendar. Undoubtedly, the media play a leading role as a catalyst of some reconstructed and invented traditions, without being the initiator of their creation.
