Summary/Abstract: The aim of this research is to illustrate the current situation of the Spanish lexicon through an analysis of culinary linguistic variation. Being such a complex system, formed by a huge community of Spanish speakers, the vocabulary used by the speakers gives rise to certain issues of linguistic variation. The scaffolding of the work involves a theoretical-practical analysis of the opinions of several tireless defenders of the language, and also the observation of the oscillation of the terms that belong to the gastronomic field.
