Summary/Abstract: This article discusses the apologia for life according to Father Professor Jacek Salij OP. The basic source are the texts of the Dominican collected in the volume entitled “Nasze obyczaje” (Our customs), in which he discusses issues related to Christianity. “Our customs”, in which he discusses issues related to Christian morality. The submitted article presents the views of this outstanding Polish theologian related to the issue of defending the fifth commandment ‘Thou shalt not kill’. First, life is presented as an absolute value, followed by his apology towards: abortion, euthanasia and suicide.
