Summary/Abstract: The paper analyses the question of identity in prose works of Judita Šalgo. The problem of identity is investigated in the context of theoretical thoughts of the second half of the 20th century with a particular focus on constructing the female authorship. Finally, the author explores representations of gender identity as a sort of the sophisticated game with identity in Judita Šalgo`s story „About Irena or Marina or about a Biography (Autobiography)“.
