Summary/Abstract: Purpose – Family businesses are known as businesses built on high relational ties managed by members of a family. In such businesses, which are built on emotional ties, conflicts come to the fore as inevitable elements and may result in the termination of the business. Marriage of family members comes with a new ownership status in the business rather than just a new member of the family in these businesses. From this point of view, the aim of the research is to reveal the relationship between conflict and marriage in the dissolution of family businesses. Design/methodology/approach – The research was carried out with document analysis, one of the qualitative research methods. In the research, movie analysis about family businesses was used as a document. The sample of the research is the movie "Adidas vs. Puma". The film was watched electronically and time-based scene analyzes were converted into documents. The findings were analyzed by dividing them into groups in terms of the variables of the research. Findings – The findings show that conflicts are effective in the disintegration of family businesses, and marriages are supportive factors for conflicts. Discussion – Predetermined duties and responsibilities in family businesses can prevent role conflicts that may arise within the business. Institutionalization within the framework of predetermined goals, objectives and values for the enterprise can be considered among the methods of reducing conflict. On the other hand, relational conflicts brought about by marriages may be caused by emotions and thoughts. In this case, working with a psychological counselor for businesses will prevent problems that may arise both in the family and in the business.
