Summary/Abstract: The impact that parents have in their children's lives is very important both in the early age and in adolescent years. Attitudes and aspirations that children have are partially shaped by the values and expectations to which they are exposed to. One of the most important and influential elements in the parent and child relationship, among other things, is their educational level. The latter is thought to be closely related to employment, since people with higher educational levels generally have better employment prospects.1 Hence, this study analyzes the academic performance of young people in relation to the impact of their parents' educational level might have. This research is conducted through quantitative descriptive research that is used to describe the characteristics of a population or a phenomenon under study by gathering information without interfering with the manipulation of the environment. The tool used for collecting data in this study is YSR – the Youth Self-Report. ASEBA provides a comprehensive approach to assessing adaptive and nonadaptive functions of children and adolescents. The final sample of this study comprises 1239 teenagers, specifically individuals aged between 15 and 19 years old. Studies suggest that low levels of parental education may adversely affect family relationships or interactions by bringing behavioral problems to children and consequently resulting in lower academic achievements over time. From the results of this study, it was noted that the higher the level of mother's education, the higher the academic performance of their children.
