Summary/Abstract: When gone back to the beginning of theater history to see interdisciplinary approaches in stage design, we witness that staging brings to get her many professions due to the essence of theater arts. When the Ancient Greek Theatre is considered a lot of things come to mind including the writer who dreamed the story of the first tragedy, the philosopher who thought about the art of theater, the writer/director who staged the text, the architect who built the stage and the viewing area, the painter who drew and painted the places on three-sided panel scalled periaktoi, the sculptor who prepared the masks, the person who told the story, the actor, the musicians, the dancers, the engineer working on acoustics, the carpenter who manufactured stage machines and panels, the black smith, the tailor whose wed the clothes, and ultimately the audience as the creators of this common experience.In the development of 20th century art movements, stage design became an in dependent profession with the bold and experimental approaches of avant-garde artists. Today, many architects, sculptors and painters produce works using technological possibilities in scenography, and some contemporary artists use theatrical references in their works. The aim of this article is to examine how interdisciplinary interaction occurs in the performing arts with the help of certain designers and to present a different perspective on the creation process in stage design.
