Summary/Abstract: The literature of emigrant writers is dominated by themes such as cultural metisage, polyphony, multiple belonging taking narrative forms often autobiographical transposed into a language of adoption transformed through the writer’s personal and cultural prism. The immigrant writer finds himself always in a transition between two worlds, the one left behind and the one found. To illustrate this, I focused on the novel „Une deuxième chance pour Adam” – „A doua șansă pentru Adam” – by the Romanian-Canadian writer Felicia Mihali. In my paper I analyze this cultural, linguistic and identity confluence from Felicia Mihali’s prose and I take an inventory of the Canadian and Romanian identity elements in this novel published in 2021 in Romania
