Summary/Abstract: This research aims to determine the opinions of violin instructors regarding improvisation practices in the violin education process. The research is essential in raising awareness about improvisation practices in violin education, developing a new perspective, and being a source and guide for this and similar studies to be done. The research is qualitative research on the formation of the opinions of the related lecturers, was prepared for the case study, and the obtained data were analyzed by content analysis method. According to the findings, it was seen that most of the violin instructors evaluated improvisation practices as a useful tool for developing skills for tonality, creativity, musicality, agility, form perception, intonation, and technical and musical hearing. In addition, it has been concluded that improvisation provides a bridge between other music genres, has a positive effect on playing together and group dynamics, and should be included in violin lessons. Based on these results, suggestions were made to include improvisation in violin and other instrument training and to create teaching materials about improvisation in violin.
