Summary/Abstract: The banking market is of key importance in the economy. Through their redistributive and accumulation activities, banks are a leading factor in the financial sphere of each country. In case the country's economy is open, the analysis of their activity by means of quantitative measures provides a broad informational value for each interested area. This article analyzes the numerical values of data growth of key banking metrics. The main conclusion of the present work is that the banking system in Bulgaria is in a state of non-concentrated industry and there is an opportunity to achieve the goals of the banks adjacent to the system, as well as there is fair competition, allowing efficient operation of banks in all three groups without them having a negative impact on each other. The competition between them is stimulating, within which customers have the opportunity for a high quality choice.
