Bulgaria's Progress On Sustainable Development Goals

Summary/Abstract: Sustainable development, understood as our way of responding to the needs of present generations without limiting the opportunities to meet the needs of future generations, is a balanced interaction between the components of environment, social justice and responsibility and the green economy. This article assesses Bulgaria's progress in meeting the Global Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Key factors and documents influencing the implementation have been analyzed. Initiatives and solutions with the potential to accelerate the development of the process have also been marked.
