Some Management Aspects In The Development Of Cultural Institutions

Summary/Abstract: The purpose of this paper is to present in theoretical terms the management of cultural institutions and in particular, to draw attention to the fact that these institutions are managed like any other organization. Contemporary culture is an area in which creative relationships and challenges are important for overall development. Culture is a factor that promotes the development of civilization, increases social cohesion, and shapes the country's image internationally. The main functions that should be performed by the governing bodies in the cultural institutions are derived. By improving the management of cultural institutions, the highest quality of activity, market success, cost efficiency, and operational efficiency can be achieved. Such an orientation in the direction of "reforms" in culture presupposes a serious orientation towards the application of the knowledge of management science and the realization of the benefits of this science in a social context.
