Financial Incentives For Innovative Students’ Achievements

Summary/Abstract: Democratic traditions, related to the joint management of preschool and school education, exist in Bulgarian educational system. Modern Bulgarian society is facing dynamic changes, our educational system must meet the challenges of educating young people to be able to adapt to the market environment and competitiveness. "Education is at the heart of the innovations that drive the knowledge economy and is the key for young people to both acquire knowledge and develop basic skills such as critical thinking, creativity and decision-making skills." (5, 2016, Institute for International Cooperation Publishing). The main attention will be focused on the management of "Student Financial Incentive Fund", which is the subject of this study. The research object are the funds raised from the employers at the local level, for financial stimulation of the students with innovative achievements, and the allocation of the funds in an efficient and equitable manner. The purpose of the article is to emphasize the essence of public councils as a collective body for civic control in school management and the allocation of financial resources to stimulate outstanding students in innovative achievements.
