Summary/Abstract: The research analyzes the traditional media and their struggle for survival, compared to the so-called newly created media, as well as their mission during the pluralism and growth of democracy in the Republic of Northern Macedonia and, also, their need to change according to market requirements. The main emphasis, however, is on the behavior of the audience, i.e. their attitude towards traditional and new online media, and also the presence of electronic platforms as a place for information or entertainment. The question is whether electronic media is changing the habits of the audience or television and radio cannot keep up with the Internet? The analysis shows that in the long run, the traditional media are slowly losing the battle for the audience, but also for the formation of public opinion.
