Guidelines For Implementation Of The Bonus-Malus System In The Motor Third Party Liabiliy Insurance Of Motor Vehicle Owners

Summary/Abstract: In the last three years, two unsuccessful attempts have been made by state institutions to find an acceptable solution regarding the implementation of a unified system, with the help of which a fair distribution of total loss should be made, by individual determining the amount of insurance premiums for motor third party liability insurance of motor vehicle owners. There are many problems in this regard and all of them seem unsolvable. The main issue is related to the object of insurance defined in the Insurance Code. In response to the formulated research thesis and the set goal, a solution was sought to the problems identified in the course of the study and guidelines were given for the implementation of the Bonus-Malus System in Bulgaria.
